spoons…

These days it takes over an hour for Enzo to eat a meal. And not just because he rejects most things we give him. Which he does, of course. Because my sweet little curry-lovin’ hummus and pita eating machine has turned over a new leaf. His diet now consists almost entirely of cottage cheese, strawberries, […]

Ally Em is my first adventurous eater. She has never met a new food she’s not willing to try and usually it meets with her approval. Kevin turned his nose up at everything we offered him and his diet consisted of fish sticks. It was pathetic. Now he’s 14 and eats everything that isn’t hidden. Ben was and still is a creature of habit. SAME SAME SAME is good, different is not. I don’t know WHAT I did differently with Ally. My thoughts are that probably, I did nothing at all and it’s really up to the child what they put in their mouth. It’s the one thing they can control and we cannot (well, to an extent anyways). My dr. (and many others) will tell you not to look at their day as a measurement of how balanced their diet was, but to look back on their week instead. That was how I got through Kevin’s toddler years.

Ugh, food is such a battle! N will eat like 4 things. Drives me insane. I cannot get him to eat fruit for the life of me! Hang in there. :)

At this age Jonas survived mostly on little puffs. Then it was nothing but sausage. I feel your pain.

nose bubbles and birthday cake.

My little guy just blew the most gigantic nose bubble I’ve ever seen.┬áIs this a sign of things to come with a little boy??? We survived our first kids birthday party yesterday. Barely. It’s amazing how small your house becomes when you stuff 15 toddlers and their parents into it! In the 24 hours before […]

has it been a year already??

For fear of getting all sentimental and maudlin, I’ll keep this post short (and save the tears for his birthday letter). Enzo turned 1 yesterday. My poor little stuffed up sneezy man put on such a happy face for the day, I was so proud! Here are a handful of images from dinner, cake, and […]

It’s been a busy week, with preparing for Enzo’s first birthday (ie cleaning the house and crying my eyes out) and……… getting our big 20-week ultrasound!!!!! We’re excited to introduce Baby #2 to you… gender TBD in February upon arrival. Disclaimer: I did not take this picture. (That smudge above baby’s head is actually his/her […]

rapping parents

I just might have laughed out loud watching this! Clearly if these people were really parents, they’d hardly have time to make this video… agreed? Or am I the only one that never seems to have any free time??
