In my novice opinion, I would have slowed the shutter speed to say 1/100 or even 1/80 to lower the ISO. In your professional opinion, why not?
What’s a lazy weekend morning?
@Christina – that’s EXACTLY why i live for them haha! I’m looking forward to one on Memorial Day
@Vlad – My camera delivers very good image quality at 3200 ISO. It was more of a priority for me to stop motion. Enzo’s a speedy crawler these days!
thanks for the quick reply; learning alot of helpful techniques here. btw the steam above looks really cool
As per your suggestion, I was able to get LR and it has a tool for noise reduction. seems like reducing the noise also kind of reduces a bit of the sharpness, but a great trade-off (very excited). did you say that there are additional apps for LR that i should use? Seems like the default works just fine.
and i’m taking advantage of my lazy sundays while i can
come august i’m sure they’ll be a luxury
thanks
Congrats on expecting a little one, Vlad!! It’s an amazing journey!
I’d just use the built-in LR noise reduction functionality. It’s very good. The other apps I would suggest if you were using something other than LR to process your photos.
Try playing with the Detail slider that activates when you use the Luminance slider- you might find it brings back a bit of the detail that you lose with noise reduction.
Here’s a tutorial you might find helpful, too… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmc8aHCCI3Y
Enjoy!
